Refund & Cancellation Policy
Every experience carries a cancellation preset chosen by the partner and locked when you book. This page explains the presets, what you get back, and when.
Working draft — pending final legal review. This summary reflects how cancellations and refunds actually work on Outvers today, but the final wording is being reviewed by counsel before launch and may change.
The three cancellation presets
Each experience uses one of three presets. The preset is shown on the experience before you book and is locked at the time of booking. Windows are measured against the experience start time.
| Preset | Full refund up to | 50% refund up to | After that |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flexible | 24 hours before | 2 hours before | No refund |
| Moderate | 72 hours before | 24 hours before | No refund |
| Strict | 14 days before | 7 days before | No refund |
Inside-policy cancellations
When you cancel within your experience's preset window, the eligible amount is refunded automatically to your original payment method — there's nothing to claim; see the refund timing below.
If the partner cancels
If a partner cancels your booking, you always receive a full refund regardless of the preset. Weather or safety stand-downs called by the partner count as a partner cancellation and are refunded in full.
Outside-policy requests, no-shows and disputes
Cancellation requests outside your preset window, and no-shows, go to our support team as a dispute. These are declined by default, but we review clear cases of partner fault and decide case by case.
When you'll see the money
We send your refund to your original payment method automatically after an inside-policy cancellation. Banks usually show it within 5–7 working days.
Our cancellation policy page has the complete reference and an interactive calculator that quotes your exact refund before you book.
